Meet Misha :)

Misha Chobanova is born in Bulgaria, but since many years has been living and working in England, where she is part of the team in Ralph Lauren. Inspired by the cowboy culture and the spirit of freedom, she combines her love for nature with her real passion for horses. Upon her every return to Bulgaria, Misha chooses to ride and share her experience and inspiration with the rest of the horse-riding lovers.

Here is what she shares with Milena ☺️

1. Introduce yourself in a few words 🙂

• - Ambitious, daring, dedicated, curious, fun and always hungry.😉

2. If your style was a horse - what would it be: wild mustang, fine racing stallion or something completely different?

• - Wild mustang! For sure. Wild, free, belonging to everyone and to no one.

3. In which era or film would you feel the most in your natural habitat - and why?

• - 70’s, “Les Petroleuses”, one of the greatest Western comedies! This film features two female protagonists in lead roles in a Western film. A strength given to women which was not often seen on the screen during the 70’s, especially in this type of film. To be able to wear Western clothes, to ride and to live by my own rules just like the two protagonists, sounds very cool!

4. What is the feeling of combining the modern world of Ralph Lauren with the authentic spirit of the cowboy style and horse-riding?

• - The feeling is incredible! Ralph Lauren is not just a job for me, but a way of living. To share the same passion as Ralph for horse-riding and the cowboy style is an amazing feeling. I combine my work with pleasure which is very important for me.

5. For you, is the cowboy style more of a fashion, or a way of living?

• - Great question! For me, the cowboy style is both, fashion and a way of life. I, personally love to dress in the Western style, in the city and on the ranch. I adore the feeling when I put on my new cowboy boots and I can see how with every step they get covered in ashes and become more authentic and at the same time, marked with all of the great memories from the ride!

6. What would you say to someone who has never ridden to inspire them to try?

• - I would say to them: “Galloping with a horse is the closest you’ll get to flying with a dragon.”😍

7. What is the biggest delusion about horse or riders, which you would like people to overcome?

• - Often, when I ask someone if they have tried horse-riding before, they tell me that they are scared of horses. Horses are gentle giants and big cuties when they are loved!

8. How do you imagine your future with the horses - do you dream of having your own ranch or just freedom amongst nature?

- This is how I imagine my life with the horses! I dream of having my own ranch one day, somewhere far away in nature. I will look after rescued cows, calves and piglets with one goal only: to love them. For a start, I would like to have two horses and every evening at sunset, I will go for a ride to the nearby lake in the forest.
