• The first horse-drawn sleds were used more than 3,000 years ago in the northern regions of Europe and Asia? They were a primary means of transportation in the winter and were considered a true symbol of nobility.
• In Bulgaria, horse-drawn sleighs were popular even during the Renaissance., especially in the mountainous regions where the winters were harsh and the snow was deep. Even Tsar Ferdinand I used horses to move around winter Borovets, his personal hunting residence at the time.
• Borovets is actually the oldest winter resort in the Balkans, created at the end of the 19th century, and horse and sleigh rides were part of the favorite winter entertainments of the Bulgarian aristocracy.
• For centuries, horses have been considered a symbol of strength, freedom and nobility — qualities that you will feel during every minute of this adventure.
